"Most interesting mix of electronic and rock music I’ve heard since Gorillaz’ Demon Dayz"
Craig Westenberg of alt-music blog Something Different reviewed Swallow Fear today, and gave it a glowing review. He praised how a “slowly building electronic pop song can quickly transcend into a funk-rock song and back again.” In general, a big thing that has come up time and time again in reviews of the EP has been how “the blending of genres makes Swallow Fear stand out against contemporary releases.” The review praised the music video for Blotted Out The Background’s humour and cinematic mish-mash of genres too. Westenberg touched on the EP’s production-quality, ambition, and quirkiness as being why Swallow Fear “may be the most interesting mix of electronic and rock music I’ve heard since Gorillaz’ Demon Dayz.” Check out the full review on Something Different now.
