"Conquering anxieties, cloning yourself, and making music on the train" - interview with Daniel McClelland

Listen to The Hutt Zone’s Tim Gruar interview Daniel McClelland over 15 minutes on Wellington’s Access Radio. They talk on a range of topics, around his new EP Swallow Fear, and the music video where Daniel says he was “trying to define myself as a one-man band quite literally.” The record was largely produced in the Hutt Valley, and Daniel talks about growing up there and the influence it had on his music. That influence ranges from finishing the post-production of the record during his daily commute to work, through to a song about missing his family while living overseas. That song is I’m Going Home, and closes out the chat, after having previously played snippets from So Happy, and Blotted Out The Background.
